The password reset process allows users who have forgotten their password to create a new one securely. The system sends a verification code to your registered email address to confirm your identity before allowing you to set a new password.

 

What You'll Do

  • Request a password reset from the Sign-in page

  • Receive a 6-digit verification code via email

  • Enter the verification code

  • Create a new password

  • Sign in with your new password

 

Step-by-Step Password Reset Process

Step 1: Access Password Reset

  1. Navigate to https://www.wisecomply.co

  2. Click the "Sign in" button

  3. On the Sign-in page, click the "Forgot Password" link

  4. You'll be taken to the "Reset your password" page

 

Step 2: Request Reset Code

  1. Enter your registered email address in the Email Address field

  2. Click "Send Reset Code" button

  3. You'll be taken to the "Enter Verification code" screen

 

Step 3: Enter Verification Code

  1. Check your email inbox for a message titled "Your WiseComply Verification Code"

  2. Find the 6-digit verification code in the email

  3. Enter the code into the six boxes on the verification screen

  4. If you didn't receive the code, click "Resend code" link if available

  5. Click "Verify" or "Continue" button

Tip: Check your spam or junk folder if you don't see the email within a few minutes.

 

Step 4: Set New Password

  1. On the "Set a new password" screen, enter your new password

  2. Confirm your new password by entering it again

  3. Click "Reset Password" or "Set New Password" button

  4. You'll be redirected to the Sign-in page

  5. Sign in using your email and new password

 

Important to Know

About Verification Codes:

  • Codes are sent immediately after requesting a reset

  • Codes typically expire after a set time period (usually 15-30 minutes)

  • You can request a new code if the first one expires

  • Each code can only be used once

About New Passwords:

  • Choose a strong, unique password

  • Password must meet security requirements (length, character types)

  • Don't reuse old passwords

  • Make note of your new password in a secure location

About Email Address:

  • Must use the email address registered to your account

  • If you don't have access to that email, contact WiseComply support

  • Check spelling carefully when entering your email

About Security:

  • Never share your password or verification code

  • Password reset links and codes are time-limited for security

  • If you didn't request a reset, ignore the email (or contact support if concerned)

  

Troubleshooting

Problem: Verification email not arriving

  • Check spam/junk folder

  • Wait 3-5 minutes for delivery

  • Verify email address is correct

  • Request a new code

  • Check if email provider is blocking WiseComply messages

Problem: Verification code doesn't work

  • Ensure all 6 digits are entered correctly

  • Check code hasn't expired

  • Request a new code

  • Copy/paste code carefully if typing from email

Problem: New password rejected

  • Check password meets all requirements

  • Ensure password and confirm password match exactly

  • Try a different password with more character variety

  • Avoid common passwords or dictionary words

Problem: Still can't sign in after reset

  • Verify you're using the correct email address

  • Ensure caps lock is off when entering password

  • Clear browser cache and cookies

  • Try a different browser

  • Contact support if problems persist

  • What if I don't receive the verification code? Check your spam/junk folder first. If still not received, try requesting a new code. Ensure you entered the correct email address. Wait a few minutes as delivery can be delayed.

  • What if I enter the wrong verification code? You can try again. After multiple failed attempts, you may need to request a new code.

  • What if I didn't request a password reset but received a code? Ignore the email. If you're concerned someone is trying to access your account, contact WiseComply support. Your password won't change unless someone enters the verification code.

  • Can I use my old password again? Security best practices recommend using a new, unique password rather than reusing an old one.

  • What are the password requirements? Passwords typically must meet minimum length requirements and include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. Specific requirements will be shown on the password creation screen.
