What This Guide Does
This guide explains how to navigate WiseComply using the left menu bar, top bar, and within-page navigation. Understanding the navigation structure helps you move efficiently between sections and find what you need.
Overview of WiseComply Navigation
WiseComply has three main navigation areas:
Left Menu Bar - Main navigation to all pages
Top Bar - Society name and user account access
Within-Page Navigation - Tabs, buttons, and page-specific controls
Left Menu Bar
The left menu bar is your primary navigation tool, always visible on the left side of the screen.
Menu Items
The menu contains links to all major sections of WiseComply:
Dashboard - Your home base and control center
Society Profile - Society information and details
Constitution - Constitution building and storage
Committees and Officers - Officer and committee management
Meetings - Meeting scheduling and documentation
Membership - Member register management
Finances - Financial compliance tracking
Records - Document storage
Ask WiseComply AI - AI assistant for help
How to Use the Left Menu
Navigating to a Page:
Click any menu item
The page loads in the main content area
Current page is highlighted in the menu
Menu Behavior:
Menu remains visible on all pages
Current location is highlighted
Click any item at any time to navigate
No need to navigate in order

Top Bar
The top bar runs across the top of the screen on all pages.
Right Side: User Account
Your Name Display
Shows your first name
Click to open dropdown menu
Dropdown Menu Options:
Settings - Access your account settings (Profile, Notifications, Security, Delete Account)
Sign Out - Log out of WiseComply
Accessing Account Settings
Click your name in the top-right corner
Select "Settings"
Opens Account Settings page
Signing Out
Click your name in the top-right corner
Select "Sign Out"
You'll be logged out and returned to sign-in page
Within-Page Navigation
Page Header:
Page title and icon at top
Action buttons (e.g., "Add Officer", "Schedule Meeting")
Actions & Obligations Panel:
Left sidebar on most pages
Shows tasks and requirements
Blue links = actions available
Green checkmarks = completed items
Main Content Area:
Centre/right of page
Where you complete tasks and view information

Many pages organise content using tabs:

Click tab name to switch view
Active tab is highlighted
Content updates to show selected information
Pages with Tabs:

Meetings (Upcoming | Past | Decisions | AGM Planning)
Dashboard (Multiple tab sets)

Constitution Builder Navigation
The Constitution Builder has special navigation:
Jump to Section:
Quick links to all 12 sections
Click to jump directly to any section
Shows status for each section
Sequential Navigation:
"Next" and "Previous" buttons within sections
Navigate through subsections in order
Mobile and Responsive Navigation
Desktop/Laptop (Recommended):
Full navigation always visible
All features accessible
Optimal experience
Mobile/Tablet:
Navigation may collapse to menu icon
Some features may be limited
Desktop recommended for complex tasks
Important to Know
About the Menu:
Always visible
Cannot be collapsed or hidden
Current page is highlighted
Free navigation - no required order
About Saving:
Check for "Save" buttons before navigating
Some sections auto-save, most don't
Don't rely on browser back to save work
About Access:
One account = one society (currently)
All pages accessible to all users
No role-based restrictions (yet)
Common Questions
Can I hide the left menu? No, it remains visible for easy navigation.
How do I know which page I'm on? The current page is highlighted in the left menu.
What if I navigate away without saving? Unsaved changes may be lost. Always click "Save" before navigating.
Can I use browser back/forward buttons? Yes, but using the menu is clearer and more reliable.
Do I need to navigate in a specific order? No, you can navigate freely. However, workflows suggest a logical order for completing compliance tasks.
Can I open multiple pages at once? Yes, by opening multiple browser tabs/windows.
How do I switch between societies? Currently not supported. One account manages one society.
What does the highlighted tab mean? Shows which tab's content is currently displayed.
